About Us
Casa Elefante sources its endless reams of cloth from foreign countries such as India, China, Tanzania and others. Although the designs of the capulanas are characteristic to Mozambique and many patterns are influenced by old models of the time in which they were made in the country, since the civil war and globalization, most of them are produced abroad. Patterns have been changing over the years with influences from other western African countries making their mark.

Excellence in Customer Service
The Radia family is proud of their business and its pride of place not only physically but also symbolically in Maputo. Our sensitivity and understanding of what the capulana means in the community that we serve, has contributed to its continued success. We know that capulana will continue to mark every special moment in the life of a Mozambican woman.
Many women tell the story of their lives through the collection of their capulanas.
Celebrations
Capulanas recall important times and celebrations, certaindates and festivals – such as the annual Women´s Day – are particularly important for the shop as each client selects with care the perfect cloth to symbolize their womankind.
